Studio for Rent

A roughly 390 square foot studio space available within a larger 1200 room that is locked on the second floor; partitioned walls are 10’ high with a cathedral ceiling. The partitioned space is a wide rectangle with a wide entrance, no closed doorway. Heat available; some storage available; no direct natural light. Available access 24-7 on the second floor of a four story building on Third Avenue between Dean and Bergen Streets in Boerum Hill/Gowanus District. The tenants are all artists, craftspersons, and a large non-profit at the top floor. Freight elevator access. No ramp for wheel chair access. Studio is quiet. Two bathrooms are shared on the floor beyond the larger studio space. No wifi available. Plenty of electrical outlets and light available.

We seek an artist who is responsible, communicative, works with non-toxic materials, and low/maintained dust preferred; someone who will rent the space for a long term period.
Please provide references; 1 month security deposit required with the first month’s rent. Rent must be received on the 1st day of the month. Electricity utility is charged within the rent and there is a periodical and variable gas utility charge added on seasonally.

I am the leaseholder and one of the two other artists who have a space within the larger 1200 square foot room. We both are professionals in the art field and are usually there at night and on the weekends. I am an interdisciplinary artist, predominantly from the visual arts field. I use a wide range of materials, predominantly non-toxic. We are generally clean, low or no dust in our production within our areas of the greater room.
