Each location offers affordable, thoughtfully designed workspaces for artists of all disciplines and creative industries, with private studios ranging from 100-500 sqft, all with 24/7 access. Brown Bears Studio encourages music professionals to come make a home in our soundproof spaces and visual artists to create in our affordable, large, light-filled spaces. Located in Brownsville, an area that has a history of producing music that moves and street art that uses huge outdoor brick walls as its canvas, Brown Bears Studio occupies a building with a long history of creativity by New Yorkers. Traditionally, the neighborhood has a long history of manufacturing products such as food, furniture, and metals and our building is no exception with a history of millinery manufacturing.
