Beautifully furnished room in the most charming Brownstone in Fort Greene. Good, responsible & kind roommates share this two floor single family apartment on the 3rd & 4th floors of the building. You would share a very large bathroom with one older, sweet woman, and a large old fashioned kitchen, complete with a large porcelain, antique sink, with the tenants upstairs. Very clean and tidy, everyone is busy, so lots of time and space & solitude in common areas. On top of this, you would have your own charming kitchenette included in the room; It has a medium refrigerator, a state of the art miniature oven and air fryer, and a microwave, should you choose to stay! Some closet space included. Large, old windows allow for gorgeous light flow to drench the room. Furnished with exquisite antique furniture (among them, a large dresser) and luxurious linens for the bed !
Fort Greene is an ideal location for any visitor or student. It is a quick 20 minute train ride to Manhattan, and a 10 minute walk to 11 subway stations, which will give you easy access to the entire city ! Just a hop, skip and a jump away, are almost every grocery store imaginable, major shopping centers, impressive restaurants & bars, & laundry and beauty salons of all kinds. The rent is 1900, but because some of my paintings will be stored in a corner of the room, I am lowering the rent. The average rent for a room this size in Fort Greene is $3,000, so consider this a major deal !
Artists and appreciators of the arts are preferred, as the bedroom is decorated with very special artwork, and is made to live and work in for clean creative art work; ie. Drawing, light & small watercolors, writing, reading, practicing guitar, etc.
A small dog or up to 2 well maintained cats are welcome.
